The ceremony took place last week in St. Ann’s Catholic church. The induction included a candle lighting ceremony for each of the following five criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.

Members are busy coordinating a school-wide coat drive to help people who do not have coats. Last week, they organized a “guess the number of candy corn in the jar” contest. The kindergarten winner of the contest led the school’s Halloween parade around the block.
The St. Ann’s Academy chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is planning to have more school and community based projects throughout the year.
